💚 Ruby-throated Hummingbird ♥️
Hummingbird Correspondences:
 Joy and Beauty- savoring the sweetness that surrounds us.  Finding beauty in small things. 
Resilience and Endurance- these tiny birds migrate thousands of miles each year from wintering grounds in Central America and Mexico the eastern United States. In fact they are the ONLY breeding hummingbirds in the eastern US. They flap their wings 53 times per minute! That something so tiny can travel such vast distances amazes me. 
Intelligence- Their tiny little brains can remember the locations of THOUSANDS of nectar sources. 
Messengers of the Divine- indigenous folklore includes hummingbirds as  messengers of the divine. They are often seen as representing visits from those we love that have passed on.
