I could watch quail all day long…. Not only are they adorable, but I love how the males take a prominent post to watch over their covey, always vigilant for danger that may be waiting. They are small, secretive, and close to the earth. 
My correspondences for quail-
🤎Protection and vigilance- always on the lookout, the males are alert and ready to direct their covey to safety at the slightest sound or movement that may be a threat. 
🩶Trust- the bulk of the covey will busily feed and scrape around to find seeds, trusting that their leader will watch out for them. 
🖤Patience- the female must sit on a well hidden nest on the ground for 24 days or more, waiting for her eggs to hatch. During that time she is vulnerable to predators and rarely leaves to eat or drink. Perhaps twice to three times a day. Otherwise she is there putting in the work and trusting her eggs will bring chicks for her to guide into adulthood. 
🤍Community- quail coveys are close knit and related family groups that stick together for their safety and for more efficiency in finding resources.
