The Vaux’s Swift  is a small, fast-flying bird that spends nearly its entire life in the air. Found across western North America, these graceful travelers migrate seasonally between Canada, the U.S., and Central or South America. They feed on insects caught mid-flight, often darting and swooping in flocks with incredible agility. At night, they roost communally in hollow trees or old chimneys, spiraling down in a mesmerizing aerial dance.
