š³The Tree of Life symbolizes the connection between the underworld, the earthly realm, and the heavens, with its roots, trunk, and branches representing unity.
In Celtic mythology, trees were seen as sacred dwelling places for spirits and deities- and certain groves were considered portals to the Otherworld, the Celtic realm of gods and ancestors.
The Druids held trees (especially oaks) in particular reverence, performing rituals and gathering sacred plants like mistletoe beneath them.
I know for me I can feel the energy of the trees around my house. They say hello to me and greet me. They are happy I come home when Iāve been away for a while. I can feel it. I love them all so much.
Knowing that trees communicate messages to each other through their roots and through chemical pheromones only validates the feeling I have always had about the intelligence and sentience of trees.
P.S.- have you read the book āThe Light Eatersā? Itās soooo good and really goes deep into the roots of plant communication and intelligence!
