What I think of when I think of Bald Eagle is their amazing recovery from near extinction. At one point only 400 pairs remained in the United States (not including Alaska). But conservation efforts and the protection of the Endangered Species Act brought them back to over 300,000 individuals today! Bald Eagles are only found in North America. Pairs form enduring bonds and mate for life. They are doting parents too!
